IsraAID Vanuatu, active since 2015, collaborates with the Department of Water and the Ministry of Health, focusing on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and MHPSS (Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support). In 2023, the organization launched its first GBV (Gender-Based Violence) MHPSS project and expanded into WASH and Nutrition. Current work is centered in Penama Province and the offshore islands of Efate. Strategic areas include eliminating violence against women and girls, enhancing women’s economic empowerment, and fostering gender-responsive climate and disaster solutions. IsraAID partners with the Ministry of Health and the Department of Water. It specifically engages with women leaders and youths. Activities are conducted in Pentecost, Ambae, Maewo, Emau, and Efate, covering North Pentecost, Central Pentecost 1 & 2, North Ambae, and Takara in Emau.
