Sista is a charitable organization, based in Vanuatu, which is driven by feminist values. Sista is an organisation that uses arts, media and communications to empower women and girls, raise awareness and advocate on issues that affect them. In 2019 we set up the Sista Library (www.sistalibrary.com.vu) as an online resource to enable Ni-Vanuatu women and girls to access information to support them to make educated and empowering choices. The website was also created to support the private sector, civil society, churches, schools, non-government organizations, and government with accessing gender-related resources.
Sista is involved with various organisations around Port Vila, and has worked with CARE, Ambassade de France, VANGO, We Rise Coalition and others to implement projects under the thematic areas of the National Gender Equality Policy 2020-2030 (NGEP) and other critical areas, contributing to progressing gender equality in Vanuatu.
