World Vision Vanuatu, active since 1981, focuses on improving children’s lives through Inclusive WASH, Resilient Livelihoods, Healthy Families, and Ending Violence. The REACH Famili Senta, established in 2021, addresses gender-based violence by providing a safe space for those affected to receive specialized counseling and support. This center, funded by Australia and New Zealand, supports men who use violence, their families, and engages with community leaders to tackle gender-based violence and provide post-crisis care. Strategic areas of work include eliminating violence against women and girls and enhancing women’s economic empowerment. The organization collaborates with various partners such as the Vanuatu Women’s Centre and the Vanuatu Police Force. Activities are focused in Port Vila, Santo, and Tanna, targeting local church women’s groups, spouses of detainees, and others impacted by violence. By 2025, WVV aims to establish REACH as an independent NGO.
