This booklet was developed with the mamas who were part of the third cycle of the Strong Mama Program in 2023. Among other things, the participants learned about nutrition and how to cook healthy meals using local ingredients as a form of self care.
Eating nutritious food is a powerful way to improve your wellbeing and can help you manage stress, lower your risk of illness, and increase your energy. As single mamas, we know how important it is for you to feel strong and healthy to manage all the big responsibilities you have in your life! Plus it is one of the greatest gifts you can give your children –delicious and nutritious food to ensure they too are strong and healthy, both physically and mentally.
The mamas designed the recipes in this booklet and we hope it inspires other mamas to cook nutritious meals, and generate discussions around
