This Outcome Statement was developed on 16th July 2024 with 52 participants from 24 ni-Vanuatu civil society organisations. Its purpose is to supplement the review of the Beijing Platform For Action report (led by the Ministry of Justice through the Department of Women’s Affairs) and to contribute to discussions at the 15th Triennial Conference of Pacific Women and 8th Meeting of Pacific Ministers for Women in July 2024 and the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in March 2025.

Vanuatu civil society is thereby joining forces with government to address the root causes of gender inequality and ensure equal rights and opportunities for all. This is the third Outcome Statement developed before Triennial events (2017 and 2021) and many themes remain the same, highlighting the need for ongoing dialogue and continued advocacy for change.
